Cheralyn Pinchem currently teaches Advanced Placement World History and World History I at the #1 ranked school in Massachusetts and the oldest school in America, Boston Latin School. A recent transplant from Atlanta, GA, she has taught Social Studies for the past 18 years. She recently served as a member of the AP World History Test Development Committee and played a critical role in the preparation of the curriculum framework and exam. The Development Committee represents a unique collaboration between 4 high school and 4 college educators with diverse knowledge and points of views of global history.
Ms Pinchem also works as a Consultant with the College Board, training both new and experienced AP World History educators. She also has participated in the AP Reading since 2005, scoring hundreds of thousands of student essays alongside other teachers from around the globe. Outside of the classroom, she is the co-sponsor for both B.L.A.C.K. (Black Leaders Achieving Change and Knowledge) and Student Council. She has also sponsored several student trips abroad to China, Greece, Italy, England and France. She truly enjoys bringing history alive in her classroom through hands on, collaborative, and fun activities
